Introduction
Understanding Practice
Naturopathy is associated with food, activity, stress, plants, complements and concepts of "field" or "vitality" according to schools. Some recommendations are common sense, others lack evidence or involve risks.

What does a session look like?
Long maintenance often leads to advice on diet, sleep, activity or complements. Quality depends on training and respect for professional limits.
What we know — and what we don't know
General lifestyle advice may be relevant; the effectiveness of the system and many specific techniques is not established.
Each board must be evaluated separately. Physical activity or sleep have solid foundations; iridology, detox and many cures do not have. Supplements can interact with treatments.
Precautions and limits
- Refuse to stop a drug or follow-up.
- Check with doctor or pharmacist for supplements.
- Beware of unvalidated balance entries, restrictive regimes and expensive packages.
Severe pain, aggravation, unusual symptom or psychological distress require appropriate professional advice. Orabel does not offer any diagnosis or prescription.
Status in France
The title of naturopathic disease is not regulated as a health profession. It does not allow medical diagnosis, prescription or interruption of treatment.
A responsible naturopathic person does not present himself as a doctor and never suggests that a "natural" product is necessarily safe.
