Brahman

« Talk about the absolute without confusing it with Brahmā, the creative god, or with vague energy. »

⌁

Definition

Connaissances documentées

In Upanisad and Vedānta, the ultimate reality or absolute foundation, interpreted as undue, qualified or personal according to the schools.

The brahman can be described beyond attributes or with qualities, and his relationship to the world and to souls varies. Saying "everything is energy" does not adequately translate these debates.
